Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. This selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. The Rising Stars list, which follows the same guidelines as the Super Lawyers list, is reserved for attorneys who exhibit excellence in practice and are either 40 years old or younger or in practice for ten years or less. No more than five percent of lawyers across the State of Maryland achieve the designation of Super Lawyer each year, and no more than 2.5 percent are selected as a Rising Star.
