Partner Andy Levy celebrated on all-star list of 2023 Icon Honors winners by The Daily Record, celebrating commitment to Maryland business community.

The Daily Record has named Andy Levy, partner at Brown, Goldstein & Levy, as a 2023 Icon Honors winner. The prestigious award recognizes Maryland business leaders over the age of 60 who have demonstrated notable success and strong leadership within and outside of their fields. Andy joins an all-star list of 28 other Icons honorees, including United States Senator Benjamin Cardin, WJZ-TV News Anchor Denise Koch, and retired Maryland Court of Special Appeals Judge James R. Eyler. Eligibility for Icon Honors requires that honorees have a long-standing commitment to the Maryland business community, community service and mentoring. Each winner was selected by the editors of The Daily Record.

The Daily Record honored Andy and his fellow awardees at a ceremony on Monday, December 11 in Baltimore. Brown, Goldstein & Levy proudly sponsored the event. A team of BGL attorneys, including Sharon Krevor-Weisbaum, Kobie Flowers, Chelsea Crawford, Neel Lalchandani, Anthony May, Kevin Docherty, and Lauren DiMartino joined Andy and his wife, Sandy, at the event to celebrate his award and extraordinary legal career.

“Andy truly represents the best of the best in the law,” said BGL Managing Partner Sharon Krevor-Weisbaum. “Andy earning the 2023 Icon Honors Award is evidence of what we have always known: that we are incredibly fortunate to work alongside and learn from his tremendous legal expertise, unwavering commitment to provide the highest-quality legal services, and depth of compassion every day.”

Andy is widely regarded as one of Maryland’s premier trial and appellate lawyers, equally comfortable in civil and criminal courtrooms, before a jury, judge, or arbitrator. He is a Fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, one of the few lawyers in the country to have been inducted as a Fellow of both organizations.

He is listed in Best Lawyers in America in nine categories and is among a distinguished group of attorneys to have been named in Best Lawyers for twenty years. He has also been consistently recognized by Chambers USA and has been recognized by Maryland Super Lawyers each year since 1999. Andy is the 2020 recipient of the Maryland State Bar Association Criminal Law & Practice Section Robert C. Heeney Award for lifetime achievement in the field of criminal law and practice, and the Lorraine Sheehan Lifetime Achievement Award from Disability Rights Maryland. “The 2023 Icon Honors recipients are mentors, leaders, and innovators. What they focus their attention on really matters; what they say is important; and what they do makes a difference for many of us in Maryland and beyond,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of BridgeTower Media/The Daily Record. “Their accomplishments in their careers and in the community are admirable, and we at The Daily Record are pleased to honor them.”

Congratulations to Andy on this tremendous honor!
