Brown, Goldstein & Levy was a proud sponsor of the 200th Anniversary Celebration, hosted by the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in recognition of their bicentennial. Several BGL attorneys attended the event: Sharon Krevor-Weisbaum, Andy Levy, Chelsea Crawford, Kevin Docherty, Anthony May, and Neel Lalchandani. Anthony was appointed to the institution’s Alumni Board in June 2023. Sharon and Andy both serve on the Carey Law Board of Visitors, where Sharon also sits on the Executive Committee.
This one-time event was not a sit-down event, but a lively birthday party and networking celebration, hosted on April 12 at the new M&T Bank Exchange in Downtown Baltimore. It brought together alumni, partners, leaders, and changemakers to reflect on the past 200 years and look forward toward the next 200 years at the institution.
The programming included a video address from Maryland Governor Wes Moore, as well as remarks from several Maryland leaders: U.S. Senator Benjamin Cardin, Maryland Senate President the Hon. Bill Ferguson, University System of Maryland Chancellor Dr. Jay Perman, and Maryland Carey Law Board of Visitors Chair Tamika Tremaglio.
Maryland Carey Law laid the foundation of legal education as one of the oldest law schools in the United States. It has educated generations of the country’s top legal authorities and thought leaders, including many of our own attorneys at BGL. We take pride in the partnership that BGL has built with Maryland Carey Law and were excited to show our support to our shared missions at this bicentennial event.
