Brown, Goldstein & Levy was well represented at the 2026 Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA) Legal Summit and Annual Meeting, hosted from June 10-12 in Ocean City, Maryland. Eight BGL attorneys attended the Summit, with two sharing their industry-leading experience and knowledge during an educational session on June 10.
The MSBA Legal Summit has connected the Maryland legal community for over 30 years in a pinnacle event for attorneys of all stages and practice areas. As the MSBA’s signature event, the Summit draws more than 1,000 attendees to over 75 thought leadership seminars, workshops, and networking sessions, as well as two receptions and a trade show. Eight attorneys attended the 2026 Legal Summit: Jacqueline Cadman, Lauren DiMartino, Michelle Fraling, Alisha Jarwala, Andy Levy, Anisha Queen, Aranda Stathers, and Jessie Weber.
Lauren DiMartino and Alisha Jarwala lead an engaging session for public interest attorneys titled “Demystifying Disparate Impact: What Practitioners Need to Know in a Shifting Landscape.” Attendees left the session understanding the trajectory of disparate impact claims, including shifts in the doctrine, the impact of recent Executive Orders and the nuances between federal and state law. In addition, Managing Partner Jessie Weber convened with other managing partners from across the state to collaborate and share best practices.
As annual MSBA Legal Summit attendees, BGL attorneys always enjoy the opportunity to connect with fellow legal professionals and discuss new developments in shared practice areas. We look forward to next year’s Summit.
