Welcome to another installment of our “Beyond the Courtroom” series: a recap of recent events our attorneys have attended. From conferences and lectures to summits and symposiums, and more, the BGL team is proud to stay connected to the legal and local communities.
Brown, Goldstein & Levy proudly sponsored the 2025 FreeState Justice Sunset Soiree, hosted on May 30. The annual Soiree is dedicated to honoring trailblazers for LGBTQ+ rights across the state, promoting FreeState Justice’s mission of improving the lives of Maryland’s LGBTQ+ community. This year’s event theme, “Busting Out of the 80’s,” recognized the hardships faced by the LGBTQ+ community during that time, especially those who died from HIV due to a lack of governmental support. Attorneys Monica Basche and Lauren DiMartino attended the event on behalf of BGL.
Jamie Strawbridge and Lauren DiMartino attended The Arc Maryland’s 2025 State Convention on May 29. The annual event celebrated 65 years of advocacy and support for Marylanders with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. As a proud sponsor, BGL was honored to contribute to an event that fosters community engagement, connection, and access to vital resources. The convention brought together individuals, families, and professionals dedicated to creating a more inclusive and supportive Maryland.
