For the third year in a row, Neel Lalchandani was named to the Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch guide, recognized in four categories, including commercial litigation and civil rights litigation.

Brown, Goldstein & Levy partner Neel Lalchandani has been named to the 2025 Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch Guide for the third consecutive year. He was listed in four categories: Appellate Practice, Civil Rights Law, Commercial Litigation, and Litigation – Labor and Employment.

Neel’s nominations across four categories reflect his diverse practice. At BGL, Neel represents individuals, nonprofits, and companies in an array of civil rights and commercial matters. Among other victories for his clients, Neel has helped secure several of the largest payments in Maryland history for victims of police misconduct.

As a trained educator and experienced attorney, Neel enjoys sharing his experience in the civil rights field with law students. In addition to teaching a semester-long seminar on wrongful convictions as an adjunct faculty member at the Georgetown University Law Center, he also speaks to students at other local universities. Neel recently spoke with students in the Social Work and the Law class, which covers the structure and operations of the legal system as it affects social work practice, at the University of Maryland School of Social Work. He also serves on the boards of the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project, Civil Justice, and the Maryland chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

Twenty Brown, Goldstein & Levy lawyers were recognized in the full edition of Best Lawyers this year on the Best Lawyers in America and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch lists, with two highlighted on the Lawyers of the Year list. Click here for a full list of recognized attorneys.
