Eve Hill and Jamie Strawbridge, partners at Brown Goldstein & Levy, presented at the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA) 28th Annual Conference on March 7, 2026. Their presentation, entitled, “DOJ’s Web Accessibility Rule and Its Application to Schools,” covered digital accessibility in the classroom via websites, mobile apps, and classroom technology as essential civil rights to facilitate learning for all students. Their audience learned about the Americans with Disabilities Act’s digital accessibility requirements, the new DOJ Title II web regulation taking effect in April 2026, and the regulation’s implications for schools and advocates. The rule changes clarify the accessibility requirements for web-based content and applications.
Eve and Jamie joined a schedule of leading experts in special education law and advocacy. Both attorneys lead Inclusivity, BGL’s disability rights consulting firm. Inclusivity helps businesses, organizations, government agencies, and industry groups navigate the rapidly changing landscape of civil rights and achieve real inclusion of people with disabilities in their workforces and communities.
COPAA is an independent, nonprofit organization of attorneys, advocates, parents, and related professionals working to protect the legal and civil rights of and secure excellence in education for students with disabilities and their families.
