Partner Chelsea Crawford and Attorney Monica Basche attended the 6th Annual I95 BUSINESS Women of Influence event on April 26 to support leading women from across the region. The event celebrated 30 individuals recognized as 2023 Women of Influence across three categories: Women of Influence, Women of Influence: Managing Money, and Women of Influence: Millennial Leaders. Brown, Goldstein & Levy was a proud sponsor of the event.

ABOUT CHELSEA CRAWFORD

Chelsea Crawford joined BGL in September 2015 and has a diverse civil practice. She represents clients in civil matters including complex civil litigation, personal injury and wrongful death, police misconduct, and wrongful conviction. At BGL, Chelsea has worked on some of the largest wrongful conviction and police misconduct cases in the State of Maryland. In 2021, she obtained a $6.5 million settlement on behalf of the family of Eric Sopp, an unarmed man in distress who was shot and killed by a Baltimore County police officer. She represents clients in civil rights cases, including disability rights, housing discrimination, employment discrimination, and prisoners’ rights. Monica also has experience with commercial litigation and business disputes. Prior to joining the firm, Monica was a law clerk to Judge George L. Russell, III on the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and to Judge Sally D. Adkins on the Supreme Court of Maryland (formerly known as the Court of Appeals of Maryland).
