Sharon Krevor-Weisbaum and Lauren DiMartino attended BGL-sponsored MACS CEO & Leadership Conference and hosted annual networking event.

Managing partner Sharon Krevor-Weisbaum and attorney Lauren DiMartino were thrilled to attend this year’s Maryland Associate of Community Services (MACS) CEO & Leadership Conference.  The annual conference provides a critical opportunity for Maryland leaders and advocates to learn from each other, celebrate their accomplishments and renew their shared mission of advocating for people with disabilities across the State. Brown, Goldstein & Levy was a proud sponsor of the conference. Sharon and Lauren hosted a Happy Hour for conference participants where guests mingled and reconnected.

The 2023 MACS Conference included plenary sessions and workshops covering a wide variety of topics, including: creating positive work cultures, strengthening the disability service provider workforce, and the importance of integrating inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility (IDEA) into the workplace.

MACS is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening agencies to better support people with developmental disabilities and their families in their own communities. This is accomplished through advocacy that promotes the highest standards of program excellence; fosters a climate that develops and nurtures a quality workforce; and results in an increased capacity within Maryland communities to support people in inclusive settings.
