On October 14, Jacqui Cadman and Lauren Kelleher attended the third annual Impact Maryland Conference, hosted by The Baltimore Banner on October 14. The event convened Maryland’s most influential leaders to address the state’s most pressing challenges. This year’s program explored how federal government changes are shaping Maryland’s future, featuring keynote addresses by Governor Wes Moore, BWI Executive Director and CEO Shannetta R. Griffin, and Johns Hopkins University President Ronald J. Daniels. Maryland Comptroller Brooke Lierman, a former BGL attorney, and Orioles Principal Owner David Rubenstein also participated in panel discussions.
Earlier in the fall, on September 23, Monica Basche spoke with a group of public interest law externs at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. The externs, mostly second- and third-year law students, are currently serving in government, public interest, and judicial placements. Monica shared insights from her time as a Carey Law student, her post-graduate clerkship, and her ongoing work at BGL and throughout Maryland’s legal community.
