Andy’s law practice includes personal injury and civil rights cases, class actions, commercial litigation, and appeals. He has secured numerous verdicts, judgments, and settlements ranging from millions to tens of millions of dollars, including one case exceeding a billion dollars. Andy has also achieved precedent-setting appellate decisions in a wide range of fields and has a history of winning difficult cases with complicated combinations of law and facts or novel legal issues.

Andy’s cases have addressed serious personal injuries, wrongful deaths, and child sexual abuse, as well as business disputes, wrongful convictions, housing discrimination, tenants’ rights, and wage theft. He is currently advocating for long-overdue justice for survivors of child sexual abuse, including representation of the chair of the Creditors’ Committee in the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s bankruptcy.

When asked by The Daily Record, “What’s the most important thing you do in your job?,” Andy responded, “Listen to my clients and help them achieve their goals. By getting to know my client and the details of her life before and after whatever brings her to me, and by mastering the facts and law to be able to tell a judge and jury a compelling story about what happened, I can help her obtain justice. That justice may take the form of a large verdict, a quick settlement, a changed system, an apology, or some combination of those.”

Andy’s trial work has earned him fellowship in the American College of Trial Lawyers and recognition by Best Lawyers as Baltimore Lawyer of the Year nine times across six different categories, including Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year in 2020 and 2025. The Maryland Association for Justice named him Maryland Trial Lawyer of the Year, and Lawdragon has repeatedly recognized him among America’s 500 leading lawyers.
