Sharon Krevor-Weisbaum co-presents “Understanding Civil Rights Protections for Individuals with Opioid Use Disorder” virtual training.

Sharon Krevor-Weisbaum co-presented a virtual training on September 29 outlining vital civil rights protections for individuals with opioid use disorder using medication assisted treatments. The training – entitled, “Understanding Civil Rights Protections for Individuals with Opioid Use Disorder” – was facilitated through the Baltimore County Department of Health.   A large audience consisting of case workers, providers and other professionals who support individuals in treatment participated in this collaborative training program.

Sharon presented alongside Martine Jean-Baptiste, Baltimore County Human Services Program Manager. They discussed the scope of the opioid epidemic and how the law protects individuals with Opioid Use Disorder.
