Jessie Weber was selected to the Baltimore Business Journal’s PowerShift class of 2026 in recognition of her exceptional leadership and proven track record of success.

Brown, Goldstein & Levy managing partner Jessie Weber has been selected to the Baltimore Business Journal’s 2026 PowerShift class. The annual section highlights new CEOs and top executives who are pushing Greater Baltimore forward, especially at a time when the region is rife with challenges.

In speaking to the Baltimore Business Journal, Jessie discussed how she balances the responsibility of her new role as managing partner with her robust litigation practice. Jessie also emphasized that while starting a new position at the helm of a firm may be difficult, the biggest challenge is the threat to the rule of law and the independence of the legal profession at the hands of the Trump administration—a challenge Brown, Goldstein & Levy is prepared to take on. BGL has consistently stood up to the Trump administration, both inside and outside of the courtroom, proving to clients that the firm is not afraid to go toe-to-toe with bullies.

Jessie’s leadership style is collaborative but decisive, empowering those around her to be leaders and providing them the support needed to allow them to do so.

“My top priorities are to preserve our firm’s culture of strong camaraderie and mission-driven advocacy, while continuing to innovate and ensure we are providing our clients with the highest quality legal services,” Jessie told the publication.

Jessie became BGL’s managing partner in January 2025, following the retirement of Sharon Krevor-Weisbaum, the firm’s former managing partner. In addition to leading the firm, she enjoys helping clients navigate a diverse range of difficult legal issues, with a focus on civil rights, including disability and LGBTQ rights, employment law, including wage and hour cases, and appellate litigation. She is known for her groundbreaking work obtaining equal access for individuals with disabilities to voting, websites, and government information and services. Jessie is well versed in both complex litigation and negotiations and enjoys using a range of tools to obtain justice for her clients.
