Brown, Goldstein & Levy Managing Partner Jessie Weber has been recognized for her exemplary leadership of the firm by both The Daily Record and Lawdragon, being selected as one of the region’s top 43 managing partners and as one of the nation’s leading 100 managing partners respectively.
The Daily Record’s inaugural Managing Partners Awards honor managing partners and equivalent senior firm leaders in both the legal and financial sectors who demonstrate vision, integrity, and measurable impact on their organizations and communities. Jessie and her fellow awardees are recognized for their professional achievements, commitment to developing the next generation of talent, and their meaningful contributions to their firms and the broader community. This award celebrates the shared leadership, innovation, and dedication that drive both the legal and financial fields forward.
Jessie’s inclusion in the Lawdragon 100 Managing Partners You Need to Know guide, for the second consecutive year, represents her outstanding leadership of the firm while maintaining a robust litigation practice. It is also indicative of Jessie’s willingness to embrace a positive vision of the future and find ways to achieve it while mitigating “the hostile winds blowing through the global economy and the legal profession.” To Jessie, the most hostile of these winds is the threat to the rule of law and the independence of the legal profession at the hands of the Trump administration—a challenge Brown, Goldstein & Levy has not shied away from. BGL has consistently stood up to the Trump administration, both inside and outside of the courtroom, proving to clients that the firm is not afraid to go toe-to-toe with bullies.
Jessie’s leadership style is collaborative but decisive, empowering those around her to be leaders and providing them the support needed to allow them to do so.
Earlier this year, Jessie was selected to the Baltimore Business Journal’s PowerShift class of 2026 in recognition of her exceptional leadership and proven track record of success. Since 2025, in addition to the 100 Managing Partners You Need to Know guide, she has been named to Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Litigators in America, and 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers guides. She has also been included in the publication’s 500 Leading Plaintiff Employment and Civil Rights Lawyers list each year since 2021 and has been honored as one of the nation’s 500 leading lawyers each year since 2024. Jessie is listed in Best Lawyers in America across three practice areas: Litigation – Labor and Employment (2025-2026), Employment Law – Individuals (2026), and Commercial Litigation (2025-2026). Additionally, Jessie has been named to the Maryland Super Lawyers list each year since 2023.
Jessie became BGL’s managing partner in January 2025, following the retirement of Sharon Krevor-Weisbaum, the firm’s former managing partner. In addition to leading the firm, she enjoys helping clients navigate a diverse range of difficult legal issues, with a focus on civil rights, including disability and LGBTQ rights, employment law, including wage and hour cases, and appellate litigation. She is known for her groundbreaking work obtaining equal access for individuals with disabilities to voting, websites, and government information and services. Jessie is well versed in both complex litigation and negotiations and enjoys using a range of tools to obtain justice for her clients.
