His presentation, titled “Lessons Learned from Cannabis Dispensary Arbitration: A Case Study,” covered groundbreaking legal issues that have arisen in cannabis arbitration and highlighted key takeaways of what companies should and should not do when negotiating in the cannabis space.

Jamie’s presentation used a multi-year arbitration that he recently completed in a groundbreaking arbitration case as a springboard to discuss various legal options facing cannabis companies today, including “dos” and “don’ts” with respect to negotiating option agreements, management services agreements, audit rights, and other contractual provisions.

Each year, the NORML Key West Legal Seminar presents an agenda of seminars and workshops led by experts in the cannabis litigation space, including legal scholars and thought leaders well verse on the intersections of cannabis and law. The annual retreat provides attendees a chance to connect, refine their advocacy strategies, and work toward lasting reform in cannabis legislation.
