Eve Hill, partner at Brown, Goldstein & Levy, joined the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) as a featured speaker at its 2025 Technology Forum, hosted virtually on June 10. The forum provides a platform for key stakeholders to discuss critical issues in technology and disability rights, particularly the legal, administrative, and policy components of the new ADA Title II web accessibility rule. The event brought together people with disabilities, advocates, state and local agencies, ADA coordinators, educators, and other organizations for the timely discussion.
Eve, one of the nation’s leaders in disability rights law, drew from her extensive background representing clients seeking reasonable accommodations and accessible technology to discuss her perspective on the rule. The rule, published in 2024, provides specific requirements to ensure that organization websites and mobile applications are accessible to people with disabilities. Eve’s discussion was also relevant to her work leading Inclusivity, BGL’s consulting firm, where she helps government and private entities navigate a clear path to web accessibility to best serve all of their audiences and minimize potential liability. One of Inclusivity’s key consulting areas is in accessible technology and accessibility resources.
Eve spoke alongside Ashley Bloom, Chief Information Accessibility Officer for Massachusetts, and Andrew Drummond, Director of Accessibility for Maryland. Their session was followed by audience Q&A, allowing for direct engagement with forum attendees.
