Brown, Goldstein & Levy partner Eve Hill was named to the 2025 edition of the Best Lawyers in America Guide, recognized for her leading Civil Rights Law practice. This is the fourth consecutive year that Eve has received this distinction.
As a civil rights and disability rights advocate, Eve’s practice aims to protect clients and advocate for their right to be treated fairly and equally. Eve’s representative cases span across protecting the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities, unhoused people, veterans, and more. As a part of BGL, Eve also leads Inclusivity Strategic Consulting, working with organizations to promote the education, engagement, and employment of people with disabilities.
Recently, a federal case where Eve represented 14 unhoused veterans seeking access to housing and healthcare was approved as a class action lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) on May 2, 2024. The lawsuit demands that the VA provide permanent supportive housing on and around its West Los Angeles campus for thousands of homeless veterans with serious mental illness, traumatic brain injuries or post-traumatic stress disorder.
In 2022, Eve obtained a federal district court victory on behalf of a married gay employee who challenged Catholic Relief Services’ withdrawal of health insurance benefits for his husband under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Equal Pay Act, and the Maryland Equal Pay Act.
Twenty Brown, Goldstein & Levy lawyers were recognized across the full edition of Best Lawyers this year on the Best Lawyers in America and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch lists, with two highlighted on the Lawyers of the Year list. Click here for a full list of recognized attorneys.
