Partner Andy Levy joined the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA) and American College of Trial Lawyers for the Anatomy of a Trial: A Trial Skills Bootcamp on March 9, 2026, where he demonstrated plaintiff opening statements for a cohort of Maryland trial attorneys.
Andy, who is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, provided valuable insight comprised not only of his deep knowledge of trial lawyering but also decades of experience.
The program, presented at the federal court in Baltimore City, provided MSBA members with the opportunity to learn from an elite lineup of nationally recognized trial lawyers and judges while gaining hands-on trial experience in an authentic environment.
Andy is also a seasoned lecturer. He is a long-time member of the University of Maryland School of Law’s adjunct faculty, teaching a courseload as diverse as his law practice: Torts, Criminal Law, Evidence, Civil Procedure, Trial Practice, and Appellate Advocacy. Andy has been voted Outstanding Adjunct Teacher of the Year three times for his teaching work. He has also taught at the University of Baltimore School of Law and at the Judicial College of Maryland.
Andy annually revises the Maryland Evidence Courtroom Manual (LexisNexis). Originally authored by Maryland Law Professor Emeritus, Alan Hornstein, who advised the Rules Committee when Maryland codified its Rules of Evidence in 1995, Andy has been lead author since 2006. In addition, Andy is co-editor of the leading Maryland appellate treatise, Sandler, Levy & Klepper, Appellate Practice for the Maryland Lawyer: State and Federal (MSBA).
