We’re back with another installment of our “Beyond the Courtroom” series, highlighting how BGL attorneys and staff continue to share knowledge, build community, and advance justice beyond the courtroom. From conferences and lectures to summits and symposiums, the BGL team remains deeply engaged with the legal and local communities we serve.
This month, partner Kevin Docherty attended the 2025 Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) Conference and Celebration of Fellows in Dana Point, California. The annual event brings together LCA Fellows to strengthen their trial skills and explore emerging issues shaping today’s legal landscape. Kevin enjoyed reconnecting with distinguished trial and appellate lawyers from across the country, and BGL was proud to serve as a conference sponsor.
Closer to home, BGL sponsored the Public Justice Center’s (PJC) welcome reception for its new executive director, Dr. Khalilah M. Harris. Dr. Harris shared her vision for the organization’s future as attendees celebrated her leadership and PJC’s continued commitment to advancing equity and opportunity.
BGL is proud to stand alongside PJC in its fight against racial and economic inequity in Maryland and beyond. Through representation, advocacy, and community empowerment, we remain steadfast in our commitment to building connections that advance our shared pursuit of justice.
