The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 is a highly distinguished professional organization composed of the best lawyers from each state or region who primarily represent plaintiffs in civil cases or criminal defendants.

This is the second consecutive year that Monica has been selected for membership in National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 for Maryland. Monica was named to the National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 List in 2021 and 2022.

The National Trial Lawyers is a professional organization composed of premier trial lawyers from across the country. Membership in National Trial Lawyers is by invitation only and is extended exclusively to the top trial lawyers practicing civil plaintiff and criminal defense law. To be eligible, attorneys must demonstrate superior litigation results, as well as leadership, a reputation for quality, influence, and stature in the legal community. Selection is based on a rigorous, multi-phase objective process that combines peer nominations with third-party research.

Monica represents civil plaintiffs in a diverse range of cases from civil rights litigation, including disability rights, housing discrimination, employment discrimination, and prisoners’ rights, to commercial litigation and business disputes, including breach of contract and business torts cases. Monica also represents blind vendors and state licensing agencies in cases involving the Randolph-Sheppard Act, which is a federal statute that gives blind licensed vendors priority in operating vending facilities on federal properties.

In addition to being named to National Trial Lawyers’ Top 100, Monica was selected as a key member of the next generation of top legal talent by Lawdragon. Monica was also named a Maryland Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2023, as well as a Best Lawyers “One to Watch” for Civil Rights Law, Commercial Litigation and Litigation – Labor and Employment for 2022 and 2023.
