Aranda Stathers is dedicated to principled, strategic advocacy in service of equal justice under law. With roots in front-line community organizing, her practice spans civil rights, criminal defense, and appellate litigation centering the lived experiences of her clients while seeking justice.

Her approach to the law is shaped by years of work alongside overlooked and underserved communities. Before entering the legal profession, Aranda worked as a community organizer in Chicago and as a public health researcher and educator with non-governmental organizations and universities in South Africa, China, and Cambodia.

Before joining Brown, Goldstein & Levy in January 2025, she clerked for the Honorable Christine Donohue of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

During law school, Aranda served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), founded a Name Change Clinic, and represented clients through the Cumberland County Public Defenders’ Office. She also served as Managing Editor of the Dickinson Law Review, a legal writing teaching assistant, and a research assistant supporting scholarship in constitutional law, civil rights, and legal history.

Outside the office, Aranda stays connected to her law school community by participating in mentorship panels and events.
