Brown, Goldstein & Levy partner Anisha Queen was invited to present at the 2026 Impact Fund Class Action Conference, hosted in San Francisco on February 12 and 13. The Class Action Conference is an invitation-only gathering of approximately 250 plaintiff-side class action attorneys to share class action best practices and discuss key updates in the space. During the conference, Anisha spoke on a panel highlighting remarkable cases used to challenge and limit the reach of executive actions.
Anisha helps lead the BGL team representing fired federal probationary employees in the Office of Personnel Management and other federal agencies. In March 2025, Anisha and the team filed class appeals before the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) challenging the Trump Administration’s illegal termination of a large swath of the agencies’ workforce. The MSPB appeals allege that these mass firings were invalid because they operated as a Reduction in Force (RIF) without complying with any of the requirements for a federal government RIF. The appeals demand reinstatement and back pay for the illegally fired employees.
The panel discussed this case and similar cases, drawing from Anisha’s vast experience at the intersection of employment law and civil rights. In her practice, Anisha represents clients in cases involving employment law, housing discrimination, disability rights, civil rights, wrongful convictions, Title IX, and contract disputes. Increasingly, Anisha’s caseload involves handling employment matters, including but not limited to handling cases involving allegations of employment discrimination, negotiating employment and severance agreements (as well as other aspects of the employer-employee relationship), and reviewing handbooks on behalf of private employers.
