Brown Goldstein & Levy’s Director of Operations, Nira Pughsley, attended the historic inauguration ceremony of Governor Wes Moore, the State of Maryland’s 63rd Governor and first ever Black chief executive. Governor Moore is one of only three Black governors who have ever been elected in United States history. The gathering was held at the Maryland State House in Annapolis on January 18, 2023.
Nira was honored to attend the People’s Inaugural Ball following the swearing in ceremony, where Governor Moore and Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller celebrated with other elected officials and community leaders from across the Maryland and the country, including Oprah Winfrey.
