BGL sponsors and participates in the NFB’s Jacobus tenBroek Disability Law Symposium.

Attorneys from Brown, Goldstein & Levy attended the 2022 Jacobus tenBroek Disability Law Symposium, held virtually on March 24 and 25. Hosted by the National Federation of the Blind and sponsored by BGL, this year’s symposium centered on the theme “The Right of People with Disabilities to Live in a World of Pandemics, Political Polarization and Natural Disasters.” Panelists and workshop presenters included the country’s foremost disability rights experts and aimed at sharing tangible strategies for putting disability rights law into legal practice. The symposium featured a keynote address from Ronza Othman, Director of EEO compliance at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Jacobus tenBroek Disability Law Symposium is the country’s leading disability law conference. Named after NFB founder Dr. Jacobus tenBroek, the symposium aims “to examine issues, explore strategies and pursue [tenBroek’s] goal of integrationism – economic opportunity, social equality and personal dignity” for all members of the disability rights community. As one of the country’s leading disability rights law firms, Brown, Goldstein & Levy is proud to have sponsored this event and looks forward to continued advocacy alongside the NFB and other disability rights advocates.
