Brown, Goldstein & Levy is delighted to welcome Michelle Fraling (she/her) to the firm as an associate attorney, where she will continue her work advancing justice and ensuring equality for her clients.
Michelle’s practice spans a wide range of civil rights issues, including disability rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and employment discrimination. Michelle brings a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to her practice. She understands how deeply the law can affect people’s lives and prioritizes making people feel seen, heard, and empowered throughout the legal process.
A public servant at heart, Michelle began her career interning for the late Rep. Elijah E. Cummings. Prior to law school, she served as a congressional aide. She later transitioned to national politics, working on presidential campaigns and as a Campaign Manager with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). Her experiences working in politics and government not only help shape her understanding of the law, but how it impacts people’s daily lives.
Before joining Brown, Goldstein & Levy, Michelle was a Skadden Fellow with the ACLU where she investigated and litigated cases on behalf of veterans, the LGBTQ+ community, and people with disabilities. Her fellowship project focused on expanding access to health care for LGBTQ+ veterans and service members.
Outside of the office, Michelle enjoys taking long walks with her corgi, Blanche the Golden Girl.
