Jacqui CadmanJacqui Cadman, partner at Brown, Goldstein & Levy, joined a prestigious line-up of panelists at the National Defender Investigator Association (NDIA) 2025 Regional Conference, hosted in Baltimore on September 2. The conference brought criminal defense investigators, mitigation specialists, paralegals, social workers and attorneys together for an opportunity to network with and learn from the successful professionals in the criminal defense field.

Jacqui’s panel, co-hosted with Gordon Chiara Managing Partner Sean Gordon, covered crime scene investigation from the perspective of a leading criminal defense attorney and experienced investigator, respectively. Together, Jacqui and Sean taught investigators and social workers about working collaboratively with the defense attorney to get the most out of crime scene investigation. Throughout their panel, they drew from real-world case studies to demonstrate how flawed investigation can lead to wrongful conviction, the advantages of collaborating with crime scene experts, and the art of crafting a strong defense from crime scene forensics.

The conference is one of several 2025 trainings hosted by NDIA, which is the only international organization representing a constituency dedicated solely to the investigative arm of indigent defense.

As one of the region’s leading criminal defense attorneys, Jacqui was well-positioned to speak on this topic. Jacqui has over 20 years of experience and has tried hundreds of cases, ranging from traffic and misdemeanor offenses to the most serious charges, including homicide and sexual assault. She is widely known for her expertise in conducting deep investigations and for trying and winning the most time-intensive and difficult cases.
