Brown, Goldstein & Levy is delighted to announce that Aranda Stathers has joined the firm as an attorney. Her diverse practice includes cases involving appeals, child sexual abuse, criminal defense, and civil rights including disability rights and LGBTQ+ rights.
Aranda is dedicated to principled, strategic advocacy in service of equal justice under law. Her approach to the law is shaped by years of work alongside overlooked and underserved communities. Before entering the legal profession, Aranda worked as a community organizer in Chicago and as a public health researcher and educator with non-governmental organizations and universities in South Africa, China, and Cambodia.
Before joining BGL, she clerked for the Honorable Christine Donohue of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
During law school, Aranda served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), founded a Name Change Clinic, and represented clients through the Cumberland County Public Defenders’ Office. She also served as Managing Editor of the Dickinson Law Review, a legal writing teaching assistant, and a research assistant supporting scholarship in constitutional law, civil rights, and legal history.
Outside the office, Aranda stays connected to her law school community by participating in mentorship panels and events.
