Anisha Queen, partner at Brown, Goldstein & Levy, recently attended the 2023 National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA) Elevating Justice Convention in Chicago alongside other national leaders in employment law. The annual convention spanned from June 28 to July 1. NELA is the country’s largest professional organization that is exclusively focused on plaintiff-side employment law.
Designed by the organization’s members, NELA’s Annual Convention provides top-notch continuing legal education for the plaintiffs’ bar. Each year, the event draws attorneys, paraprofessionals, law students, and other employees’ rights advocates from across the country to raise the bar for employees’ rights.
Anisha attended interesting and informative panels at the convention, including panels entitled: “Common Evidentiary Issues in Employment Law,” “Maximizing and Valuing Emotional Distress Damages,” “EEOC and DOL: Tackling Systemic Barriers to Opportunity to Foster Equal Opportunity for All,” “Representing Federal Employees,” “Remedies in Employment Law,” and “Negotiating Agreements in Employment Law.” She enjoyed learning from and connecting with top plaintiff-side attorneys regarding these important and fundamental issues. The lessons she learned and the attorneys she met will aid her in elevating her practice for her clients.
Anisha Queen represents clients in a diverse array of civil matters, including employment law, housing discrimination, disability rights, civil rights, wrongful convictions, Title IX, and contract disputes. In all cases, Anisha tirelessly pursues justice for her clients. Learn more about Anisha’s practice here.
