On Thursday, June 21, Brown, Goldstein & Levy hosted a lunch for public interest summer interns from ACLU of Maryland, Disability Rights Maryland, Maryland Legal Aid, NAACP, and the Public Justice Center. Our managing partner, Sharon Krevor-Weisbaum, welcomed our guests and Andy Freeman and Eve Hill talked about the role that Brown, Goldstein & Levy plays as a private law firm involved in general litigation of all sorts, including public interest law.

Wilhelm Joseph, executive director of Maryland Legal Aid, Dana Vickers Shelley, the new executive director of ACLU of Maryland, Debbie Jeon, legal director of ACLU of Maryland; David Rodwin, attorney in the Workplace Justice Project at the Public Justice Center, and Bradford Berry, General Counsel of the NAACP acquainted the interns with the work that each of their organizations performs.

The lunch was a great way for the summer interns from these organizations and BGL’s summer associates to meet and to gain knowledge about the various organizations and current projects being conducted in public interest law.
