Partner Jacqueline Cadman attended the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers 2026 Midwinter Meeting & Seminar.

Welcome to another installment of our “Beyond the Courtroom” series: a recap of recent events our attorneys have attended. From conferences and lectures to summits and symposiums, and more, the BGL team is proud to stay connected to the legal and local communities.

Partner Jacqueline Cadman, widely regarded as one of the best criminal trial lawyers in the Washington D.C. and Baltimore metro areas, attended the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) 2026 Midwinter Meeting & Seminar in New Orleans, Louisiana, from February 19-21. The seminar centered on the theme, “It’s Not Just Voir Dire, It’s Lagniappe!” –  focusing on advanced jury selection strategy with an emphasis on connection, communication, and persuasion. In addition to breakout sessions, Jacqueline attended the Women in Criminal Defense Committee, the Corrections Committee, and the White Collar Defense Committee meetings to discuss new trends and legislation impacting the criminal defense landscape. Jacqueline enjoyed reconnecting with other knowledgeable lawyers from across the country while continuing to sharpen her trial expertise.
