Partner Jacqui Cadman – widely regarded as one of the best criminal trial lawyers in the Washington D.C. and Baltimore metro areas – attended the 34th Annual Honorable Elizabeth A. Kovachevich National Seminar on Federal Sentencing, hosted by the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in Orlando, FL. The two-day event, held July 30 to August 1, brought criminal defense experts from around the country together to discuss developments in federal sentencing policy and procedure. Topics included sentencing considerations during litigation and trial, ethical issues, departures and variances and restitution. Other sessions addressed the intersection of sentencing with disability law, drug crimes, trauma-informed care, immigration law and more.
