Parents Sue Over Death of Man With Down Syndrome

Saylors sue Frederick, deputies“If any of the Defendants had heeded Mr. Saylor’s aide as to how to deal with Mr. Saylor, his tragic and unnecessary death would have been avoided.”

The parents of Robert Ethan Saylor, a man with developmental disabilities  who died as a result of being handcuffed and restrained by three off-duty Frederick County Sheriff’s Deputies,  filed suit today in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland against Regal Cinemas, Inc., the three Sheriff’s Deputies, Hill Management Services, Inc., the Frederick County Sheriff’s Department, and Frederick County for negligence, gross negligence, violation of the man’s civil rights, and violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
