BGL attorneys authored eight articles featured in the Maryland State Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section Newsletter.

Brown, Goldstein & Levy attorneys Greg Care, Lauren DiMartino, Anthony May, and Jessie Weber authored key articles featured in the latest edition of the Maryland State Bar Association’s (MSBA) Labor and Employment Law Section’s newsletter. This edition, available to all MSBA members, features eight articles authored by BGL attorneys.

Newsletter editor Cori Cohen expressed gratitude to the BGL attorneys in her editor’s note, stating: “Many thanks to the talented attorneys at Brown, Goldstein & Levy for their contributions to this issue of the newsletter. The newsletter serves as a reminder that the Labor and Employment Section is a great resource, with members who possess a wealth of knowledge and a willingness to share.”

The articles cover updates on both federal and state legislation relevant to labor and employment law practitioners. They also explore emerging case law and trending topics, such as non-compete agreements and the implications of artificial intelligence in the workplace.

Greg Care authored five of the eight articles, focusing on new legislation affecting healthcare industry employees. His articles address professionalism requirements, classifying fellows and residents as employees or students, and recent developments in non-compete agreements for healthcare workers and veterinarians.

Lauren DiMartino, Anthony May and Jessie Weber also contributed articles discussing important topics such as accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a new legal tool for federal employees with disabilities encountering inaccessible workplace technology, and the evolving legal landscape to address the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on employment discrimination.
